Tortillas
Blanco owner Mark White as
Business Person of the Year
Chamber board member Johnny Marshall
said White had sent samples of his tortillas to
President Bush, Oprah and Gov. Bob Riley. “Now,
that’s a lot of belief,” said Marshall.
White was inspired to make and sell tortillas after
a trip to Mexico with his grandfather, Lynn Headrick.
He now owns a successful restaurant on Market
Street, just off the square.

..."As a business owner I wanted to
come up with an idea that promoted good
sportsmanship both on and off the field.
The Tortillas Blanco Good Sportsmanship Award is
voted on by the Coaches, selecting a player who best
represents what being a winner is all about.
We are excited to have the opportunity to recognize
these young men and believe that they have bright
futures ahead of them."
